Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Collexall is designed as a local-first collection manager. This policy describes how the current Android application and this product website handle information.

1. Data stored on your device

Collexall stores collection information locally on your device. This may include release metadata, notes, favourites, ratings, purchase and estimated values, physical locations, loan information, sale status, asking and sold prices, sale dates, Discogs identifiers and other fields you choose to use.

2. Camera, images and Smart Cover Scan

The app may request access to the device camera for barcode scanning and for Smart Cover Scan. You may also choose an existing image when using cover recognition.

Smart Cover Scan recognises text from the selected cover image locally on your device. The recognised text can then be reviewed or edited and used as a search term for Discogs. Cover recognition itself does not require a paid AI service and is not designed to upload the cover image to a Collexall server.

Camera access is not intended to record or upload photographs or video in the background.

3. Discogs integration

When you use Discogs features, Collexall may send information such as barcodes, search terms, recognised cover text that you choose to search, Discogs Release IDs and synchronisation requests to Discogs. If you connect a Discogs account, authentication credentials or tokens required for that connection are stored on the device using secure storage where supported.

Discogs processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Collexall is independent from Discogs and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Discogs.

4. Exports and backups

If you export CSV, JSON, HTML or other backup files, those files may contain information from your collection. The For Sale HTML export may also contain item details, asking prices, catalogue text and contact information that you choose to include. Once exported, files are under your control. You are responsible for where you save, share or publish them.

5. Accounts and advertising

The current Collexall application does not require a proprietary Collexall account to manage your local collection. The current product is not designed around advertising or the sale of personal data.

6. This website

This website is a static product website hosted using Cloudflare Pages. It does not intentionally set advertising cookies or run behavioural advertising. We use pseudonymous first-party analytics to count visits and outbound clicks to Google Play. These analytics include the visited page or click event, referring page, browser language and a randomly generated visitor identifier stored in your browser. The requests are processed by the developer's analytics service at api.policlinicosdesantoandre.com and are not used for advertising profiles. These requests do not transmit the contents of your music collection. Cloudflare may process technical information required to provide the website.

7. Third-party services

Features that use third-party services are subject to the availability, terms and privacy practices of those services. Discogs is the principal external service currently used for music-release metadata and collector features.

8. Data deletion

Because collection data is primarily stored locally, removing the app or using available deletion/reset features may remove local data. You should make a backup first if you want to retain your collection. Data held in your Discogs account must be managed through Discogs or through synchronisation actions that explicitly affect that account.

9. Children

Collexall is a general collection-management utility and is not specifically directed at children.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Collexall evolves. The date at the top of this page identifies the current policy revision.

11. Developer

Collexall — Music Edition is developed and owned by Gil Pereira, Portugal. For support or privacy enquiries, use the developer contact information associated with the official Collexall distribution or the official GitHub profile linked from the product website.
